Until the past year, Dillon Williams, a husband, father, and native of Brandon, had spent the majority of his life overweight. So much so that by the age of 26, Dillon found himself in the early stage of hypertension, type II diabetes, and mental exhaustion. With a final weight in the ballpark of 300 pounds on a 5”8 frame, Dillon was fed up and decided to make a change.

“What people don’t know is that I spent years under medical care, coaching and monitoring trying to lose weight but nothing seemed to work,” said Dillon. “So many are under the impression that weight loss surgery is a cheater’s way out – maybe it is for some – but for me it wasn’t. It was medically the only way I could get started.”

In June of 2017, Dillon underwent gastric bypass surgery to kick-start turning his life around. However, shortly after his surgery, he began to notice that he struggled with the ability to digest meat like he could before. Because of this, he began to rely solely on protein supplements, bars, and shakes to get the protein his body needed.

“Losing over 100 pounds quickly means you look a bit deflated. I knew I needed to consume protein but, let me just say, there are SO many disgusting protein supplements out there. I am picky; I still want it to taste good!” said Dillon.

Dillon had tried a few different shakes and smoothies before at other businesses, but none that tasted good and, according to him, were anything he’d want on a regular basis. That is, until he stumbled upon Super Shakes.

“I work from home and my office faces the gate of my apartment community. I kept seeing a giant truck with a Super Shakes logo drive by and I had never heard of them before,” said Dillon. “This perked my interested and then one day at Pinelake, the church my family attends, I saw the truck again. I told myself I had to look them up.”

As we all do, Dillon first went to google. Initially, after reading about Super Shakes and the quality ingredients mixed into those tasty flavors, Dillon was skeptical.

“I tried so many shakes before that just weren’t good. I didn’t think it would be possible to have a shake that’s good for you taste so good,” said Dillon. “On our first visit in June, I ordered a Super Calm Peanut Butter Cup Shake with a scoop of peanut butter added in. It tasted so good and I was hooked instantly because it was truly delicious, filling, and affordable.”

Dillon has since started working out regularly and continues to enjoy his Super Calm Peanut Butter Cup Shake, with a scoop of peanut butter added in, at least three or four days a week.  It is one of his favorite parts of his new healthy lifestyle.

“I went from having deflated, flabby arms to noticeably fit arms. This didn’t happen on just a plant-based diet alone; it’s because of Super Shakes and the products available there. I truly believe it,” said Dillon. “I am B12 deficient and these shakes give me energy. Not only that, they’ve helped me turn empty space into muscle on a 750-1000 calorie-a-day diet. I’m hooked for life! What else can I say? I love Super Shakes!”

Dillon, congratulations on the strides you are making in living the healthy and happy life you deserve. It is YOU who inspires us. Thank you for supporting Super Shakes!
